Barry Mackay Director Property Services Division University of Otago

Barry is the Director - Property Services Division at the University of Otago, Dunedin New Zealand. He is a Facilities Manager by profession having been educated at James Hargest High School, the Southland Polytechnic, the Open Polytechnic of New Zealand and the University of Otago.

Barry has held senior management positions within Education, Health Care, Eldercare, Prison and Construction industries before taking up his present position as Director. He is responsible for providing a range of facilities; asset and property management services to what is a large and diverse multiple campus organisation.
He has had significant involvement with TEFMA over the last 7 years that includes 4 years on the board (2003 -2007) and the Education Committee (2 years as Chair). Barry was elected to the VP role in 2008.
