Postsecondary Education Facilities Inventory & Classification Manual USA. Manual from the National Centre for Educational Statistics (NCES), published in July 1992. Although outdated - the manual remains the standard set of definitions and parameters that most higher education institutions refer to in relation to facilities in the US. 160+ pages. The manual covers everything from basic principles and coding structures through to extensive definitions of space use codes.

UK report on the findings of the Newcastle University Space Management Project: 'Effective space analysis and allocation techniques'. The project was funded by the HEFCE Good Management Practice Program and the University. This is an extensive report covering a wide range of space management issues; from space management structures and systems through space norms and standards, utilisation, charging, performance indicators, to new ways of using space. Space Management - A Good Practice Guide

UK - Wales report re-examining approaches that can be taken to space management at an institutional level in addition to examining issues surrounding utilisation of teaching and research space. It is based on a study undertaken in partnership with the University of Wales, Swansea, by GVA Grimley and Stellae Consulting. (January 2002)
