TEFMA Webinar:
Security Technology post COVID-19 for the Education Sector.

Presenters:
Janine Hill, National Customer Experience Manager, Wilson Security
Daniel Szuba, Regional Sales Manager, Avigilon

What will you get from this presentation?
With tertiary institutes facing a multitude of challenges due to COVID-19, we will introduce some strategies to consider as part of your campus holistic approach to mitigate risk and keep staff and students safe, in an unobtrusive way with the latest in security technology. We will discuss the challenges we have seen tertiary institutes facing and how this technology may prevent, protect and respond.

Some of the challenges that we will cover include:

  1. The safe re-opening of Universities: The challenge that schools face is the uncertainty on whether they can re-open safely for in-person learning.
This challenge raises the need to have a solution that can help campuses comply with health and safety guidelines such as limiting class sizes, social distancing and the use of protective face masks – providing peace of mind and allowing students and staff to return safely.
  2. Budgetary constraints: funding cuts and budget freezes due to campus-wide closures.
In order to manage this challenge universities are looking at low-cost implementations that assists in creating a new way of operating during a pandemic.
  3. Curbing the spread: Universities face the challenge of curbing the spread once campuses are re-opened to students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Solutions that expedite contact tracing if an infected person is identified on campus, including advising potentially exposed people to self-isolate and increasing sanitation of contaminated areas is ideal.

We will showcase the latest COVID-19 Technology including:

  • Occupancy Counting Analytics
  • Social Distancing Analytics
  • Face mask Detection Analytics
  • Body worn cameras
  • Contactless access control technology
  • Contact Tracing technology

We will introduce our Integrated Security Solution model and how various elements of this can add additional value within a campus including service and technology examples, practical use cases and a case study will be shown.

A question and answer opportunity will be held at the end of the session.

Who should attend?
Staff working in facilities and campus services, security, operations, contract management, property or asset management and parking services.
