In this webinar, EAB will share strategies to address the most urgent sustainability challenges universities are facing today, including increasing environmental standards, unattainable objectives, and limited resources to achieve goals. Attendees will learn how to best:  

  • Audit current and future sustainability initiatives to prioritise best-fit opportunities
  • Improve sustainability plans with more focused frameworks and targeted goals
  • Strengthen relationships outside the sustainability office and coordinate campus-wide sustainability efforts

 EAB will provide global examples and best-practice research to guide attendees through evaluating sustainability strategy at their university.

A question-and-answer opportunity will be held at the end of the session.

About the Presenters

 

Michael Fischer joined EAB in 2016, previously holding instructional and educational support positions in both the United States and United Kingdom. Michael works closely with Senior Facilities Officers, Heads of Estates, Chief Research Offices, CBOs, and other administrative leaders to diagnose challenges and provide advise on best practices and applicable strategies for their campuses and teams. His research specialties include the future of campus physical and virtual spaces, the identification and execution of international academic and research partnerships, and Facilities strategy and efficiency.

 

Kathleen Packer joined University of Wollongong in 2018 as Director of Facilities Management.  Prior to UOW, she worked within a local government context for over 16 years; having worked at both Wollongong City Council and Shellharbour City Council. During her career she has managed facilities, building and civil maintenance, building and commercial operations, and civil and building construction. Kathleen is also currently on the Board of TEFMA.
