Properties and Facilities
The Property & Facilities Division (P&F) is responsible for delivering comprehensive facilities operations to the University community by using integrated systems and services to support the University's teaching and learning, research endeavours and strategic objectives. To achieve this, and to further improve the environment in which members of the University community study, work and live, P&F provide a range of services of Campus Operations, Infrastructure and Sustainability, Planning and Property and Project Delivery. 

The Role
As CAD & BIM Coordinator you will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing and leading the Digital Modelling, Drawings and Documents Office within the Property & Facilities Division. This position is responsible for the leadership, management, mentoring and support of a small team and ensuring a high performing CAD/BIM/GIS digital modelling office. You will drive continuous improvement, build team performance and lead best practice document and records management. You will manage and maintain the Autodesk CAD/BIM/GIS system (AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD Map 3D) environment including AutoLISP, VB.net and the CAD interface to ARCHIBUS® and produce ad hoc drawings and maps in accordance with P&F standards.

Your skills and Experience
You will hold a relevant degree with experience in similar positions or have an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. You'll have a demonstrated knowledge and extensive experience in current and emerging best practice in CAD/BIM/GIS standards and its implementation as a subject matter expert. 
You will have experience of successful leadership with relevant experience managing a team and have the ability to motivate, develop and encourage performance in others, and to achieve set objectives in a timely and cost effective manner. You will be proficient in the use of Autodesk CAD/BIM/GIS software and bespoke software routines such as AutoLISP and VB/net. Previous experience with Facilities Management Computer System ARCHIBUS® and/or experience in GIS software such as ESRI ArcGIS is desirable.


What we can offer
This is a full-time, continuing position at HEW level 7.
The full-time equivalent base salary will be in the range $85,222 - $93,085, plus super of up to 17%. The total FTE package will be in the range $99,710 - $108,910.

The Role
Reporting to the Deputy Director, Campus Development, you will be responsible for delivering a program of works valued over $30M p.a. You will bring to this role your previous experience working for a government agency or within the tertiary environment or similar complex environment. Your expertise of the NSW Government GC21 contract suite will ensure your ability to successfully develop, procure and manage expert consultants and construction contracts. Other key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strategic leadership direction in the delivery of capital programs, projects and project teams;
  • Resolving complex and sensitive problems at an operational and strategic/ policy level;
  • Planning and deliver overall program including project planning, resourcing, development of briefs and delivery of project on time and within budget; and
  • Building and maintaining strategic relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate open communication ensuring effective and efficient delivery of project management services to the University community.
