In this webinar, attendees will have the opportunity to discover and learn about the University of Tasmania exciting 10-year vision and plans for relocating from the Sandy Bay Campus to the Hobart CBD. The University has undertaken a level of consultation with staff, students, and the community; and are now entering a more detailed engagement with all stakeholders. The presentation will outline the rationale for the relocation, the urban design principles adopted, the preliminary master plan, how the vision will be funded and the relocation staging.

About the Presenter:
Phil McMahon is the Executive Director Transformation South with the University of Tasmania. In this role Phil is responsible for leading the planning and execution of the University’s planned move to Hobart’s CBD.
Phil and his Team led the development of the recently announced Masterplan and Urban Design Framework and are now progressing to detailed building and landscape designs to support the progressive implementation of the move.
Phil has been with the University of Tasmania for just over 2 years. Prior to the University, Phil had an extensive Australian and international business career living and working in Europe, Asia Pacific, North America, South America as well as Australia.
