TEFMA COVID-19 Webinar Series
Pandemics, Planning & the Next Normal Campus – emerging trends in Education post COVID-19
Over the coming few months TEFMA aim to continually offer webinars on the lessons learned during this pandemic and bring to light any innovative ideas that are being shown across the sector by our peers and colleagues. It is hoped this webinar series will open the conversation between all of our members (business partners and associate members) as we gear up for an eventual return to Business as Usual.
Presenter:
Bree Trevena, Australasia Research Leader, ARUP
What you will get from the presentation:
In this webinar we will discuss two emerging trends in Education post COVID-19, discussing ways learning environments can adapt to cater for our new-world working and learning needs.
- Tactical urbanism: social distancing has created opportunities to trial more people-friendly services, spaces and streets. But how do we connect short term campus tactics to longer term strategic change?
- Teaching, research & workspaces for now and the long term: In just a few months COVID-19 has changed how and where campus staff work, forcing different and flexible ways of working. How can space planning evolve to effectively respond to our current reality and projected change?
About our presenters:
Bree leads Arup Australasia’s research strategy as part of the Foresight + Research team. Bringing fifteen years’ experience in creative industries, innovation and cultural regeneration projects, precincts and strategies, Bree and her teamwork with cities focusing on urban governance and sound place development.
