What you will get from the presentation:
Q Building is an example of when an organisations core values are clearly articulated through the design brief, design response, procurement, and construction; it creates opportunities to deliver beyond specified outcomes for the project.
In the case of Q Building, two of the University of Newcastle’s core values, Sustainability and Excellence, were featured throughout each phase of the project, and reinforced withing the culture of the project team including key project team organisations.
The Q Building if the first reginal NSW 6 Star Greenstar accredited building, the first mass timber constructed building in the Hunter region and the largest installation of Sage (electrochromic) glass in the southern hemisphere.
The project team will share the experiences of delivering on the University’s Sustainability and Excellence core values, the challenges in doing so and the lessons for future projects.
