Dominic Marafioti is a Campus Facilities Manager at UniSA.  He has worked in Facilities Management at UniSA for 25 years.  During the last 20 years as a UniSA FM Executive Management Team member, he has been aware that we must continuously improve facilities management delivery by investigating and adopting contemporary principles and ideas. 

He believes it is fundamental to work collaboratively, focusing on the university's strategic issues whilst ensuring effective customer service and best practice facilities management to support its goals and objectives.  Dominic is a strong advocate for our professional organisation and feels that TEFMA has successfully built the profile of tertiary sector facilities managers nationally and internationally.  He firmly believes that TEFMA and its members have a crucial role in shaping and supporting the sector's strategic and operational facilities management issues.
Dominic was appointed to the TEFMA Board in 2005, served two terms as a Director and was President in 2010/2011.   He once again was a TEFMA Board Director from 2014 to 2022 and Chair of the Information Services Committee for this time.  Dominic leads the development of the Online Benchmark tools, upgrade of the website, and development and Implementation of the TEFMA Community Portal.  He has also been a member of the project groups for updating the Strategic Asset Management Guideline, Asset Audit Guide, Space Planning Guidelines and Benchmark Insights publications.

Dominic is a member of MB-022 Standards Australia - Facilities Management Committee, with Standards Australia, the official Australian mirror committee for the development of international standards for facilities management.

In 2022 Dominic was awarded the TEFMA Presidents Award.  The award was presented with the tremendous appreciation of the continuous dedication and significant contribution to the Tertiary Education Facilities Management Association.  In addition, it was in recognition for services over the years as a director, past-president, chair, inspirational mentor and thought leader.
