The end of March saw 98 people join us in Mooloolaba for TEFMA’s first workshop of 2019. The Campus Services Workshop ran across two days and focused on the provision of campus services through various delivery models, particularly outsourced and hybrid contracts. The workshop was attended by various individuals from tertiary institutions across Australia and New Zealand, even a member from Fiji made the trip across. TEFMA President, Garry Bradley welcomed everyone to the event and then handed over to Iona Beauly, TEFMA Director and Workshop Chair to get things started.
We heard from many informative speakers, from FM staff to some key industry partners, who all contributed to a fantastic program across the two days.
Day 1 of the workshop concluded with a networking event taking place at The Dock which was attended by 70+ of the workshop attendees. It was a great opportunity for delegates to discuss all they’d heard throughout the day, and it is fantastic to see and hear so many conversations taking place to that effect throughout the evening. Thank you to GJK Facility Services who sponsored this event.
Day 2 kicked off with 70 attendees hopping on a coach at 8am to head out to USC to take part in one of 3 campus tours on offer. A big thank you to USC for opening up their campus to us. Another almost full day of presentations saw the workshop wrap up a bit before 4pm.
PDFs of the powerpoint presentations have now been added to the TEFMA website for members to view, along with some photos taken throughout the course of the workshop. To access these, please click here>>. Please note, you will need to be logged in to your TEFMA membership portal to view these.
TEFMA would like to acknowledge the sponsors for the event, without their generous support we could not continue to develop and expand our educational programs.
TEFMA would also like to thank the following members of the Local Organising Committee who invested their own time into the event to enable it to become the success it was.
