TEFMA Webinar - April 27 2026
Webinar: ‘Good quality’ data is no longer required
Date: Monday 27th April 2026
Cost: Free for TEFMA Members Registration Open
Presenters: Derek Huynh (ADP Consulting) and Jesse Priddle (University of Queensland)
ADP and The University of Queensland (UQ) will present how analysis, visualisation, and optimisation tools can also now perform the task of converting 'poor' data into 'good' data - overcoming a common pre-requisite for digital tools and enabling a range of new capabilities.
On asset management, these new digital solutions have allowed UQ to automate hand-drawn asset markups into BIM models, 'read' electrical network diagrams, and achieve greater control of asset maintenance data.
On campus planning, these emerging technologies have automated The University of Melbourne's district electrification options - condensing months of time into real-time results.
Who should attend:
- Facilities & Asset Management professionals — anyone responsible for data quality, asset registers, or maintenance workflows.
- Engineering teams — those involved in infrastructure master planning, electrification, or precinct-level energy strategy.
- BIM Practitioners — particularly those facing challenges digitising their asset base due to legacy data quality.
- Project Management & campus planning professionals — teams keen to understand the possibilities and benefits of a digital approach.
What you will get from the presentation:
This workshop will highlight how tertiary institutions can use their existing datasets to achieve ‘quick wins’ on practical use cases while advancing their digital maturity.
